The old cottages in Church Lane dated back to 1699 but were sadly demolished in the 1950s. The cottages are just about visible on the right hand side of the road.
Church Lane cottages and Dixons
Dixons stood opposite the cottages at number 50 and can be seen to the extreme right. They were a poultry, pigeon and dog medicine manufacturer.
