Description:This poster was dispalyed around Handsworth to encourage votes for local man Henry Odell. Odell was the Labour candidate and here he lists the unions and societies who pledged to support him. Odell viewed himself as a "worker for the workers" and by listing his supporters he hoped to encourage the uncertain voters to support him. Odell lost the election to the sitting MP Ernest Claude Meysey Thompson.
