Description:William Shakespeare of Oldbury was a prominent local solicitor (1833-1912) , practising for many years in Oldbury and Birmingham. He also served as the Town Clerk of the Borough of Smethwick in 1906/7. Shakespeare was buried in the churchyard of St Peter's in Harborne and this volume, containing many newscuttings and obituaries, was deposited by Shakespeares Solicitors, Somerset House, Temple Street, Birmingham.
