Description:One of the benefits of the redevelopment of Balsall Heath in the 1970s and 1980's was the creation of several new parks in the place of some of the demolished houses. This photograph shows Seven Streets Park, a so-called "pocket Park", being laid out. In the top left-hand corner if the picture is the site of Balsall Heath City Farm which was officially opened by the Lord Mayor, Councillor George Canning on 19 April 1980.
