Description:Opening of Perry Common Library in 1934. This was one of several libraries (including Acocks Green, Ward End, Yardley wood, and South Yardley) opened as a result of the rapid expansion of the suburbs in the 1920s and 1930s. interrupted this building programme which was not resumed until 1952.
