Description:H. Brittain Ltd were letter cutters, die sinkers and engravers by trade. Prior to them taking over the premises it had been the home of the Balsall Heath fire service who opened here in 1912. The crest can still be seen on the right of the front wall while the large bay doors for the fire engines are visible to the right of the picture.
