Description:The Dog and Duck public house stood on the right hand side as you approach Smallbrook Street (Queensway), just before Clydesdale Tower. The picture dates from the latter half of the nineteenth century - from 1873 or later. We know this because Chapman's Windmill is missing from behind the building and this was demolished during 1873. The proprietor of the Dog and Duck at this time is listed on the board as being R. Sheffield.
