Description:This advert is for Mr Cola D'Ore - a "teacher of voice production and singing in the true old Italian method". Mr D'Ore gives some useful references to follow up. John Sims Reeves was an English vocalist (born 1818, died 1900)and a leading Tenor of the Victorian era. Charles Lunn was a leading voice tutor of the Victorian era too. Nicola Porpora, born in Naples, was an Italian composer and voice tutor acitve in the 18th century. He is most remembered now for being the teacher of the famous castrato Farinelli.

The address at which Mr D'Ore was teaching is in the Benmore estate area of Birmingham.
