Date:1964

Description:The Grand Junction public house was at 180 Great Colmore Street, Lee Bank, where it joins Bell Barn Road. The acute angle of the junction makes for a building of unusual shape, with an unusual name. This was a Mitchells & Butlers pub, and in this 1964 photograph the name over the door is that of Albert Stokes. Redevelopment has removed all these buildings, including what appears to a traditional cast-iron street urinal to the right of the pub door just round the corner in Bell Barn Road.
