Description:Great Colmore Street in April 1970. The two figures look rather desolate in these surroundings, but behind them the tower of St Thomas' Church still stands proudly, having survived both World War II and the developers. The two children in fact are standing on the site of the new St Thomas's School, so perhaps were paying a visit from the old site on Granville Street/ Bath Row.
