Description:An engraving from 1865. The Vicar at this time was the Reverend C.T. Wilkinson who took over from the Reverend G.S.Bull. Bull had overseen the setting up of the churches of Immanuel (on Broad Street) and St Asaph (on Great Colmore Street)to cater for the growing population of the St Thomas district. The school is shown to the left on the corner of what is now Granville Street. Currently (2005) the site is occupied by a closed down former Bingo Hall. The church was designed by Thomas Rickman and was built between 1826 and 1829.
