Description:A scene inside the City Museum and Art Gallery, Birmingham, from a postcard. The Round Room gave access to the Industrial Hall and to the Art Gallery extension and was part of the original Art Gallery building, erected in 1884/85 in what was then Congreve Street. In the course of modern development and pedestrianisation Congreve Street was absorbed into Chamberlain Square.
