Description:The plaque commemorating the opening of St Luke's school. This plaque is still located in the building today. The school closed a few years ago and is now a Sure Start centre, though several reminders of the school are still dotted around the building, such as this plaque.

The main inscription reads:
"St Luke's Church of England Primary School. This school was opened by the Right Reverend J.L.Wilson CMG DD, Lord Bishop of Birmingham on Saturday October 19th 1963. The school was originally founded in 1843 and the old building largely destroyed by enemy action from the air in April 1941".
