Description:"Steel Pulse was formed in 1972 in Handsworth, Birmingham.The three main members were David Hinds, lead vocals and guitar, Basil Gabbidon, lead guitar and vocals and Ronnie McQueen, Bass. In 1976 Steel Pulse released their first single 'Kibuda, Mansetta and Abuka, they signed to Island Records and released two LP's 'Handsworth Revolution' and 'Tribute to the Martyrs'. McQueen left the band in the early 80's and now lives in California, USA." Pogus Caesar, February 2003.
