Date:16th of June 1894

Description:This newscutting from the Handsworth Herald concerns an accident to a brewery dray. The horse shied on the Walsall Road and bolted. George Broadhurst, the driver was thrown off and a barrell fell on his head cutting off his ear. He was found unconscious in the road. When the horse was stopped the dray was found to contain a passenger who was asleep and quite unaware of what had happened!
