Description:St Mary's Church, Hamstead Road, Handsworth. In this view of the 12th-century parish church from the south-west architectural details stand out particularly clearly, suggesting a date not too long after the 1876 restoration by J.A. Chatwin. The churchyard also looks well-tended. (The marks in the top right-hand corner are damage to the original photograph.)
