Description:However the railway, which was constructed through Balsall Heath in 1840, came straight through the Simcox's land and eventually there was an enormous goods yard at the back of the house. From 1854 the house was let as a private school and was sold off by the Simcox family in 1870. It is currently the home of The Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies.
