Description:The Brighton Hotel was built in 1875 by one William Charley. The enterprising gentleman saw a need for a local hotel catering for travellers using the newly opened nearby Brighton Road railway station. The building is still recognisably the same from old photographs. The main change is the external paint scheme. Some of the windows look to be vintage frames and the frosted glass is old too. The hotel itself is now a public house. Picture taken by pupils from Anderton Park Primary School as part of a project looking at how Ladypool Road has changed over the last 100 years.
