Description:The pub has been a fixture on the corner of Ladypool and Clifton Road for a hundred years. Famously in 1914 it was where local butcher Mr Stiles opined drunkenly that the Germans should win the war. He returned to find an angry mob setting fire to his premises. Picture taken by pupils from Anderton Park Primary School as part of a project looking at how Ladypool Road has changed over the last 100 years.
