Description:Outside a greengrocers on Ladypool Road. Carrots have been sold on the road since shops were first there. Peppers (Capsicum) gradually increased in popularity as the dietary interests of the UK population changed. Their use is popular in both Italian and Indian style cuisine and is particularly used in Sri Lanka as a side dish. Picture taken by pupils from Anderton Park Primary School as part of a project looking at how Ladypool Road has changed over the last 100 years.
