Description:The Imperial was one of the earliest cinemas in Birmingham. It was built, in 1914, by Harry Grigg, who owned the pork butchers shop next door. Although the nature of the films shown changed over the years and the Imperial showed Asian films exclusively for a while, it stayed as a cinema until the early 1980s.
