Description:The threat and actuality of bombing raids by Zeppelins on Britain during the First World War prompted adverts such as these from insurance companies. The reality of raids such as that on the Midlands at Walsall, Wednesbury and Tipton coupled with near misses over Birmingham underlined how serious things were. There was no predictability to when the Zeppelins would come next. This advert is for the London Guarantee and Accident Company Ltd who had offices in Birmingham at 10 Victoria Square.
