Description:George Thorp (who owns the picture) says: There were gangs all over Ladywood but they shouldn't be confused with teenage gang violence which erupted throughout Britain in the late '50s. These gangs were groups of lads who did things together like visiting the Ledsam or Crown picture houses, or they recaptured the jam factory from defending Germans and then wrestled crocodiles in the "rezza"! Our imagination was unlimited!" In the picture from left to right are: Reggie Stephens, Harold Branson, Brian Stephens and Keith Bolton.
