Date:9th of April 1941

Description:The damage was from an air raid of 9th April 1941, the picture being taken three days later. The family smiling for the camera are possibly a surprise to modern day viewers of this photograph. The determination to get on with life and not to give up in the face of the air raids is summed up by this image.
