Description:This card was delivered to addresses in Eardley-Wilmot's constituency to drum up votes for the election. the card was sent to the then City Librarian H. Pearson. The polling station was at the junction of Wellington Road and Bristol Road. After voting you were supposed to then take the card to the committee room on Ryland Road!

Sir John Eardley Eardley-Wilmot (1810-1892) was a prominent barrister and politician.
