Date:19th of October 1923

Description:Tony's Royale Ballroom used to be located next door to the Birmingham Hippodrome. This poster is for an exhibition of model railways, ships, yachts and aeroplanes - all for the bargain entry cost of one shilling.

Interestingly the official opening was conducted by Herbert Manzoni. Sir Herbert Manzoni was Birmingham’s City Engineer from 1935 to the early 1960s and is the man responsible for the "concrete" redevelopment of the city which became so notorious.
