Date:1967

Description:This rare aerial view is from 1967. The tall tower block at the middle top of the photograph is Haddon Tower. To the right of it is St Luke's Church on Bristol Street. Following the road down from St Luke's we come to the crossroads junction of Lee Bank Road and Bristol Street. To the south east on that junction can be seen the Bristol Cinema. Near the bottom of the picture are the tower blocks and low rise flats that were ercted on Woodview - amongst them Nightingale and Brambling Walk. Next to those blocks can be seen what was Lee Bank Primary School, now called Woodview Primary School.
