Description:Blanket making for the war effort at Barrows Stores, with Lady Mayoress W. Maretineau.

Barrows was on Corporation Street and apart from being a famous store in Birmingham in its own right it also had a cafe above it which was frequented by J.R.R. Tolkien and his Tea Club Barrovian Society.
