Description:Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward (February 15, 1883 - June 1, 1959), better known as Sax Rohmer, was a prolific English novelist born in Rann Street, Ladywood. He is most remembered for his series of novels featuring the master criminal Dr. Fu Manchu.

The Golden Scorpion was first serialised in 1919 and although Fu Manchu is never mentioned in the story by name he does appear as one of the characters. The Golden Scorpion was serialised over 18 weeks in the Weekly Mercury and is reproduced here in it's entirety with special attention to the wonderful period illustrations.
