Description:Behind the scenes at the circus showing the 250 kilowatt power station which literally kept the circus going. The lower picture shows Billy Smart Junior and Mrs Davidd Smart with celebrity visitors Gabrielle Brune, Naunton Wayne and Stanley Holloway. All three were in the cast of the Ealing Comedy "The Titfield Thunderbolt" which came out in 1953.

The right hand page shows an advert for the ever popular Walls Ice Cream.
