Description:Joseph Southall lived at 13 Charlotte Road in Edgbaston, near to what is now the Woodview estate. This painting has long been one of his best known works but has become more notable this year as it was used in the inner booklet design for the cd "Aerial" by Kate Bush. In the version used for "Aerial" they reversed the painting for some reason and added the name "aerial" to the boat.
