Date:2nd of September 1916

Description:Private Kilby was featured in The Weekly Mercury on September 2nd 1916. He had been missing since 1st of July and his sister, Miss E. Kilby of 315 Icknield Port Road was anxious for news.

Sadly Private Kilby never did turn up and was certified dead as of the 1st of July. He served in the 1st/ 6th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. It is thought he died during the assualt on the Serre area of France.
