Date:27th of October 1965

Description:This view is of the western side of Bristol Street - the side that has been completely demolished in the course of later development and road improvement. On the left, at 197 Bristol Street, is S.K. Moss, radio and television sales and repairs, while at number 191 is Supreme Cleaners. Under the canopy is probably the chemist J. Docter Ltd. These shops were at the far end of Bristol Street, near to what is now the Lee Bank Middleway junction. In the foreground is one of those little Austins that were so common when this photograph was taken on 27th October 1965.
