Date:27th of October 1965

Description:Without further information it is not so easy to pinpoint this location, but it is towards the southern end of Bristol Street, Lee Bank. On 27th October 1965, when this photograph was taken, the buildings seen here on the western side of Bristol Street had not long to go, for road improvements and redevelopment were to reshape this side of the road. On the higher ground behind the petrol station can be seen some of the newly built flats in Rickman Drive, part of the massive post-war Lee Bank redevelopment scheme.
