Date:7th of September 1970

Description:When this photograph was taken on 7 September 1970 work was under way in Islington Row, Lee Bank. The view is looking towards Five Ways, with the corner of the Lloyds Bank building just visible in the centre of the picture. At this time Five Ways was in the midst of redevelopment that would change it out of all recognition, although Lloyds Bank managed to survive. Meanwhile, a no. 8 bus is heading straight for the photographer.
