Description:One of the Y Block developments constructed in the nineteen fifties. The three blocks were part of what was known as the Bath Row Development and so the names were all chosen with a Bath theme: Avon after the River flowing through Bath, Lansdown after the hill overlooking Bath, and Nash after Beau Nash the famous Bath society figure.

This image of Avon House shows the block before the new rendering work.
