Date:1935
Description:In 1935 St Luke's Church in Bristol Street produced this 'free gift of Calendar and Blotter' as part of their outreach activities. The Rev J.P. Wilkinson, vicar at the time, included sundry interesting pieces of information including the fact that the area of the parish had more or less halved since 1841 when the parish was created. There were also only 23 streets in the parish, which does not sound very many, and only 212 names on the electoral roll, which may explain why he is so keen to emphasise that the church has 700 seats to fill.
