Description:This advertisement for W.H. Askin, of 163 Gooch Street, Birmingham, dates from 1935. He describes himself as a nurseryman and florist, although the former term now seems slightly incongruous for a road just off Bristol Street on the edge of the Lee Bank area. Walter Askin had no other premises but it may be noted that he reckons to deliver anywhere within Birmingham. The business seemingly did not survive World War II.
