Description:The agreement drawn up to appoint Harry Birch as headmaster of St Thomas's School. The document was amended on November 13th 1903 to account for out of school activities.

Birch was living in Park Street, Aston in 1881 with his widowed mother. Birch's sister Mary Elizabeth was also a teacher.
