Description:The original Ladywood Swimming Baths opened in Monument Road, Ladywood, on 27 February 1883. The building contained two large swimming baths (First Class and Second Class) but was as valuable to the citizens of Ladywood for the washing facilities. In 1940 the building was replaced by new baths on the same site.
