Date:1954

Description:The Duke of Wellington public house at 355 Monument Road, Ladywood, in 1954. The road on the left is Leach Street, which ran from Monument Road to Freeth Street, presumably more or less where the Ladywood Arts & Leisure Centre is now. The sign on the front of the premises shows that the Duke of Wellington belonged to local brewers Davenport's, of Bath Row.
