Description:The City Museum and Art Gallery, Birmingham, seen in a postcard view looking along Edmund Street. In this rather low-angle photograph the 1912 extension to the Art Gallery has not yet been erected. The familiar Chamberlain Memorial is prominent, while the statue of George Dawson is lurking behind the tree in the foreground. The complete absence of people lends the scene an almost dream-like air.
