Description:Postcard showing one of the exhibits from the Beale Memorial Collection in the Natural History Department of the Museum and Art Gallery, Birmingham. The Common Sheldrake was one of numerous stuffed animals and birds, shown in representations of their natural settings, which have perhaps fallen foul of contemporary attitudes to taxidermy and museum display.
