Description:Nineteenth-century housing in Grant Street, Lee Bank. The photograph was taken on 6th July 1948, when the area was on the brink of redevelopment. The City of Birmingham set up five Comprehensive Redevelopment Areas immediately after the end of World War II and wholesale demolition ensued.
