Description:This is the view looking up Essex Street, across The Horsefair, with Clydesdale Tower in the distance. the shops on either side are still recognisable from the early twentieth century. Up till 1961 you would have seen St Catherine of Sienna Church in the distance on The Horsefair. It was demolished as part of the road widening scheme.
