Date:14th of May 1969

Description:A consignment of 60 sacks of silver paper collected by children from Lee Bank Primary School. The paper was sold to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Teacher George Evans (pictured) said: "The value is about 10s 6d a sack, so we are a tenth of a way towards paying for a guide dog". Fourth year children are seen prepapring to load the silver paper onto a lorry specially sent by British Rail.
