Description:The last of the redbrick shops that once ran all along both sides of Bristol Street. The main section left today now runs between the Bromsgrove and Wrentham Street junctions. Looking down at the lower shopfronts you won't really see anything to inspire, but the top floors, as can be seen here, are a delight of Victorian architecture. The brickwork is of a consistently interesting ornamental design and there is a variety of metal work to be seen which survived being claimed for the war effort in WW2 probably because of the height it is fixed at.
