Description:Postcard view of Five Ways, Edgbaston, possibly just after the First World War. The sparse road traffic includes a motor bus and a motorcycle with sidecar, as well as a horse-drawn vehicle and, in the foreground, a pram. The policeman appears to be on point duty, although there is not much for him to do. The perfunctory tinting helps to create a pleasant scene contrasting with the same scene today. The view is looking westwards with Hagley Road in the right background behind the bus.
