Description:Old Cottages in Church Lane looking towards the direction of the junction of Wellington and Hamstead Roads. These cottages are referred to as 'old cottages' even at the end of the 1890s, the earliest confirmed occurrance of these buildings is on the tithe map of 1843, when the land behind the cottages was owned and occupied by a Henry Smallwood. The buildings were demolished sometime after 1937, which was the last time they appeared on an Ordnance Survey Map. The site is now bordered by Winleigh Road and Rosedene Drive.
