Description:Latimer Street ran from Great Colmore Street (about where Lytham Croft comes out now) to Piggot Street (also now gone but it followed the line south of Bexhill Grove). Latimer Street was named after Hugh Latimer who was Bishop of Worcester. Latimer was one of the English Martyrs and was burned at the stake in 1555.

This view of Latimer Street is particularly interesting for the detail to the far left of the picture. Use the "zoomify" button and you can see The Colwyn public house on Great Colmore Street. Immediately in front of it on the end of Latimer Street are some railings. These are fencing off the area where St Asaph's Church used to stand and had been recently demolished.
